Chicago native graphic designer Sirita Render creates crisp, high-quality designs tickled with clever originality. With 17 years of professional design experience under her belt, Sirita's natural eye for color and typography, coupled with versatile artistic training, inspires her to incorporate techniques from both fine arts and graphic design into her unique imageries, distinguishable by their sleek style and refreshing interpretations.
Sirita's affinity for visual arts began in high school via a series of paid apprenticeships in the renowned Gallery 37 Art Program (now After School Matters) in Chicago. This artistic experience laid the groundwork for a solid arts education. Sirita studied Studio Art at Barat College of DePaul University in Lake Forest, Ill.; and she graduated with Dean's List honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art/Design (concentration: graphic design) from the prestigious Columbia College Chicago.
Sirita's professional design experience included designing for the Namasté Laboratories, a leading health and beauty aid corporation operating globally under the brand ORS™ (formerly Organic Root Stimulator™). At Namasté Sirita played a key role in implementing the rebrand of Organic Root Stimulator's entire product line to ORS™ by creating multicultural and multilingual display graphics and marketing materials across multiple platforms.
For four years Sirita designed in the non-profit sector with the Active Transportation Alliance, an advocacy organization that promotes walking, bicycling and public transit to create healthy, sustainable and equitable communities in Chicago. Here Sirita designed print and web graphics including branding, high visibility promotional displays and custom apparel designs for the company's largest fundraising event, MB Bike The Drive. MB Bike the Drive is a recreational, non-competitive bicycle ride held for the past 18 years in Chicago, in which Lake Shore Drive is closed to auto traffic and opened exclusively to cyclists.
Sirita also served as the graphic designer of N'Digo, a weekly lifestyle publication in Chicago. During her 4 years at N'Digo, Sirita created editorial layouts, advertisements, and multi-platform marketing presentations for N'Digo's corporate campaigns, including the event branding for the N'Digo Foundation Gala from 2008 through 2011. Sirita also designed and oversaw production on Urban Livin', an urban home and lifestyle publication in Chicago, and created numerous print and electronic graphics for local and national campaigns at a small graphic design and marketing studio in Chicago.
